MockPro Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MockPro ("we," "our," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MockPro mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). MockPro is operated by Tyler Misyak as an individual developer.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

Account information — when you sign up, we collect the email address used to create your Firebase account, your chosen username, and your display name.
Profile content — your bio, avatar image (if uploaded), and any profile metadata you choose to share.
User-generated content — mock drafts, big boards, scouting reports, comments, likes, follows, blocks, and league entries you create within the Service.
Push notification token — if you opt in to push notifications, we store the device token assigned by Apple Push Notification Service or Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver notifications.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Authentication data — Firebase Authentication handles password storage and login flow. We never see or store your raw password.
Crash and error reports — when the app encounters an unexpected error, the Sentry crash-reporting service automatically sends us a diagnostic report that may include device model, OS version, app version, a stack trace, and limited interaction context (e.g., the screen you were on). These reports help us fix bugs.
Server logs — our hosting provider (Railway) records standard server logs including IP addresses and request timestamps. These are retained briefly for security and debugging.
Analytics — we currently do not use third-party analytics trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and notify users in the app.

1.3 Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect your precise location.
We do not access your contacts, calendar, or health data.
We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
We do not collect payment information (the Service is free; if paid features are added in the future, this policy will be updated).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
Authenticate you and keep your account secure
Display your profile and content to other users when you choose to publish or share it
Send you push notifications you've opted in to
Diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues
Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violation of our terms
Communicate with you about service-related matters (e.g., security alerts, policy changes)

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How Information Is Shared

3.1 With other MockPro users

Content you make public (mock drafts you publish to the feed, big boards you mark public, scouting reports you publish, comments, likes, follows) is visible to other MockPro users. Your username and display name are shown alongside this content.

Content you keep private (drafts not published, private big boards, unpublished scouting reports) is visible only to you.

3.2 With service providers we use to operate MockPro

We rely on the following third-party services. Each handles data according to its own privacy policy:

These providers process information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We do not authorize them to use your information for unrelated purposes.

3.3 For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MockPro, our users, or the public.

3.4 In the event of a business transfer

If MockPro is acquired, sold, or merged with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified before any such transfer takes effect.

4. Your Choices and Rights

4.1 Access and update

You can view and update your profile information at any time within the app's profile settings.

4.2 Delete your account

You can delete your MockPro account from within the app's settings (Settings → Delete Account). When you delete your account:

Your profile and personal information are removed from our database
Public content you created (published mock drafts, public big boards, scouting reports) is removed
Comments and likes you made on others' content are removed
It may take up to 30 days for backups to be cleared

4.3 Push notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time via your device's notification settings or within the app.

4.4 California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to know who we share it with. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in detail. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email above.

4.5 Users in the EU/EEA (GDPR)

MockPro is operated from the United States and is primarily intended for U.S. users. If you access the Service from the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and data portability. Contact us at the email above to exercise these rights.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information:

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS.
Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
Database access is restricted to authorized application processes only; we do not store database credentials in source code.
Server access requires multi-factor authentication.

No system is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention).

Backups containing your information may persist for up to 30 days after deletion before being permanently overwritten.

7. Children's Privacy

MockPro is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, contact us at the email above.

8. International Users

MockPro is hosted in the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have data protection laws different from your country of residence.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by:

Posting the updated policy at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date
For significant changes, displaying a notice in the app

Continued use of the Service after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
